The film screened at Wollongong Town Hall, during Viva la Gong Arts Festival. It was a component of the installation Thru The Lens...The narratives in this installation were developed in 'Surface Tension' a theatrical creative development funded by the Ministry of NSW.
Three politically contested sites are represented on the television screens with their accompanying stories. These sites are The Mall, Sandon Point and the industrial landscape of Port Kembla.
Corruption, the Sandon Point fantasy is produced on the main screen as the motif of this whole exhibition.
The stories were generated, read and performed with thanks to Bruce Keller, Jeff Stein, Katia Molino, Regina Heilmann, James Beach, Ariana Grabrovaz, Kate Clarkson, John Finlayson, Dominica Grossy, Merlinda Bobis & The South Coast Writers' Center.
Produced by Critical Mass Theatre, Smashing House Productions, Futures Wollongong, CRIPT@UOW, WollongongCity Council,
Viva La Gong Arts Festival 2003.
